Rotation 6.11.18

Welcome to the Weekly Rotation where I share my weekly playlist and what new jams I'm listening to this week!

A playlist featuring Khalid, Ruel, Jorja Smith, and others

Albums:

The only album that I was in love with this week was Jorja Smith's Lost & Found. This album is a work of art. It is all that I hoped it would be. Filled with ballads with lyrical depth and strong vocals I tip my hat to Smith. My favorites on this album were "Wandering Romance," "Goodbyes," and "Don't Watch Me Cry." This album is a must listen.

Singles:

This week had a few great releases some jazzy like "Lady Lady" from Masego, some fun summer jams like, "Magic in the Hamptons" by Social House featuring Lil' Yachty, and some created to celebrate humanity and pride month like "BE YOURSELF" by Taylor Bennett featuring Bianca Shaw. But I would be remiss to not mention the golden release of late, great, Prince singing "Mary Don't You Weep." His rendition is simple yet beautiful.

I also got the pleasure of listening to Ivy Sole's new single "Rollercoaster," and yall I'm so ready for her album! I've been following her for awhile, and I feel like OVERGROWN is going to be on repeat. It'll be added to the playlist as a bonus track tomorrow morning!

Video of the Week:

This week's video was a featured single last week, "Come Over" by The Internet. I love this song, and group and can't wait for the album this summer. Check out the video below.
